Ahlsell takes another significant step towards the future with a major expansion of the logistics center in Hallsberg. Following the completion of last year's new construction, Ahlsell continues to invest to double its capacity and future-proof a more sustainable and efficient logistics.
This expansion is carried out directly adjacent to the existing building and aims to create added value for both customers and suppliers. The goal is to further improve the customer offering, with a broader product range, more efficient and customer-adapted deliveries, and with a focus on sustainability.

Ahlsell's logistics center in Hallsberg is already one of the largest of its kind in Europe and is the heart of Ahlsell's operations. After the expansion, the building, which is now growing by an additional 30,000 square meters, will be a total of 180,000 square meters, thus strengthening its position as one of the Nordic region's most extensive transport hubs. The ambition is for the expansion to be certified according to Breeam-Level Excellent. To meet the growing capacity needs, a significant automation investment is being made. In collaboration with the supplier KNAPP, several advanced technologies are being integrated to increase warehouse capacity and improve delivery quality and efficiency.
Ahlsell will enter into a 15-year lease agreement with an annual rent of approximately 45 million SEK. In addition, Ahlsell will invest 1 billion SEK in equipment over the duration of the project. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
